Age Gracefully with Ultherapy
When your skin isn't as toned as you want it to be, Timeless Plastic Surgery may help to increase your skin's elasticity using ultherapy, a nonsurgical treatment for loose facial, neck, and chest skin. With approval by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), ultherapy's energy from ultrasound waves can increase the laxity of your skin in a fast, easy treatment session. After your treatment and when the treated skin starts to heal, your body naturally creates more collagen to strengthen the skin. Plastic surgeons Drs. Peter Chang and Ankur Mehta are pleased to provide ultherapy to Houston, TX patients. This treatment may be done along with other rejuvenating skin services, like an injectable or laser skin resurfacing to leave your skin appearing youthful. "I simply cannot say enough great things about my experience with Dr. Ankur Mehta and Timeless Plastic Surgery overall. I've seen Dr. Mehta for the past two years for Botox, fillers, Emsculpt and MiraDry. Each procedure was explained in detail so there were no surprises and the results were better and more natural than I even hoped for. For my lips he had a different injection technique that prevented the "duck lip" look that commonly results from other methods. I trusted his advice and am so glad I did! I'm absolutely in love with the results! My lips are very full and pouty yet still have a natural look to them. He also used a very powerful topical numbing cream that worked like a charm. Everyone at TPS is extremely friendly and truly cares about achieving great results. I highly recommend Dr. Mehta and Timeless and as an actress I see why it's the go-to in Houston for cosmetic plastic surgery!"- E.K. / Yelp / Apr 23, 2020
"I recently went to see Dr. Mehta for some issues that had started bothering me post-40. Dr. Mehta and his staff, especially Kaitlin, were so welcoming and warm. They made me feel very comfortable and spent the time to explain my options and the cost associated with each. Dr. Mehta has checked in on me several times after the visit, which was very much appreciated! And most importantly, great results!"- M.T. / Google / Jan 25, 2020

"I choose to go to Dr. Mehta because he knows EXACTLY how I like my Botox! I prefer a Physician who takes the time to fully assess my face and explain a good treatment plan tailored just for me :) I highly recommend Dr. Mehta to any 1st timers thinking about diving into non invasive options for anti aging...AND if you’ve had Botox before but are looking for someone to give you a fresh perspective on future treatments he’s the one for you!"- K.R. / Google / Dec 10, 2019
Ultherapy Procedure Technique
Both men and women can get results from ultherapy. If you are beginning to notice that the skin on your face is becoming less firm with light or medium wrinkles (in the areas around the brow, eyes, and mouth), or developing a light jowl droop, you might be an ideal patient for ultherapy treatments. If you have more developed skin sagging or etched wrinkles and lines, a facelift with surgery could be a better procedure for your needs.
After you arrive for your appointment, you will be invited to get comfortable in our treatment room where one of our professionals will prepare the skin being treated, which can include the use of a local anesthetic. In the session, a handpiece that uses ultrasound energy waves will be passed across your skin. Based on how many areas of skin you're getting treated, your procedure can take an average of 2 – 4 hours. It's common for the treated skin to look somewhat red and inflamed. You may apply cold compresses and take a nonprescription pain reliever to reduce any inflammation and pain. You can put on cosmetics after your session and get back to your daily activities.
What to Expect with Ultherapy®
Ultherapy treatments do not provide visible results right away, as the positive effects will become evident over time. In addition, the treated skin will need time to heal after your session for optimal cosmetic. With the added supply of collagen, the treated skin will be more toned in the weeks and months that follow. In most instances, the results of ultherapy can last up to one year with future treatments being desired to maintain the best outcome.
Ultherapy Ideal Candidates
How much does it cost?
The cost of your ultherapy treatment will be contingent on the number of areas being treated, sessions needed, and your cosmetic goals. During your initial visit, we will talk about all the details of your treatment plan to provide you with an estimated cost. Our practice accepts many forms of payment.
What areas does it treat?
Ultherapy is a safe and effective treatment for the face, neck, and chest. It is an FDA-approved treatment that is very popular among men and women to address loose skin for a younger-looking profile.
Who should get it?
Individuals who are not ready for cosmetic surgery are great candidates for ultherapy. It is best for men and women over the age of 35 who are beginning to show signs of aging or lax skin.
Although results will not be seen right away, optimal outcomes will be evident in the months that follow. Generally, patients will schedule a follow-up session about 12 months after their first appointment.
The number of treatments needed will rely on your skin condition and unique goals. Typically, most patients who still have a good skin tone can have stunning results with a single session. For those who show more symptoms of aging, several treatments may be needed to attain the desired outcome.
